The 1% Sales tax increase is very important to our local school's continued existence. Springfield will be sending less and less for support of schools. the only other way to support our schools are to increase the Property Taxes (nobody wants that).
The people have said "YES" in the April vote!!!

The County Board needs to respect the people and Vote "YES" to 1% Sales Tax increase!!!!!!!!!!

Contact the board members who voted no and ask for their logic. The Warren School Board voted in favor of an abatement that brings additional dollars to the County and two weeks later the County Board disrespects the wishes of the voters. This can be resurrected if one of the board members who voted no would ask for the item to be placed back on the agneda for discussion. I am optimistic that one of the no voters would have a conscious check and want more discussion.
