By Julia DeGraw For nearly three years, environmental and consumer advocates have been fighting to protect the Columbia River Gorge from exploitation by the multinational water bottler Nestle.

Hood River County School are on early release today due to weather conditions. Early release times vary from school to school, and school officials are working to contact parents.

There's a car under there somewhere. Digging out seemed to be the theme for the day Wednesday after anywhere between six inches to over two feet of snow was quickly saturated once temperatures rose and snow tunred to rain.

Responders from multiple agencies were on scene in just a few minutes Tuesday afternoon when the call went out that a bus driver was trapped under her vehicle on Highway 35.
