Wildfire Fanned Out Of Control Near Pagosa Spring
After smoldering for over a week, the Little Sand Fire grew rapidly after being fanned by high winds on Saturday morning.
District to fill school board vacancy
On Tuesday, Archuleta School District 50 Joint formally announced a vacancy on its board of directors for the seat representing District 1. As reported in the April 19 edition of The SUN, director Pete Kasper announced his intention to resign from his District 1 seat as of May 1. On Tuesday, the district board accepted Kasper's resignation.
