Sions said the horses were sold for $250 per head.

Total expenditures are $7,866.05, which includes hauling the horses, boarding fees, medication for rain rot, feed, veterinarian bills and supplies.

Sions said in accordance with state law Kerns and Shrout are responsible for paying the county for the difference of $2,616.05.

The sheriff's office currently has seven active arrest warrants against Shrout charging her with animal cruelty.

"If anyone knows of her whereabouts we request you call the sheriff's office at 304-822-3894," said Sions.
