A blaze broke out in Grant County just south of Silver City Tuesday. The McKenney Road fire ignited just before 5 p.m. The fire forced the evacuation of three homes, but officials said residents should be able to return home tomorrow, if circumstances allow.

Teen's murder trial delayed

The defense attorney for Thomas Manning, the Albuquerque teen who allegedly shot and killed his father on a hunting trip to the Gila National Forest nearly three years ago, has asked to postpone the July trial because a witness critical to the defense will not be available.
