Contracts awarded for seven more stimulus-funded projects

A contract to widen the last section of U.S. 65 between Pine Bluff and Lake Village to four lanes has been tentatively awarded to a Pine Bluff company, a state Department of Highway and Transportation spokesman says.

Lottery hires sheriff to head security at 6-figure salary

Grant County Sheriff Lance Huey has been hired as the security director of the Arkansas lottery at an annual salary of $115,644, Arkansas Lottery Commission Executive Director Ernie Passailaigue said Monday.
