A simulated drunken driving accident is giving students at Glascock County Consolidated School a lot to think about with one of their classmates dead, another life flighted to a hospital and the third arrested by police.

The couple accused of shooting and dragging Jennifer Kitchens Wells to death made their first court appearance this morning.

The Georgia High School Association’s reclassification committee tentatively voted to move FPD from Region 7 to Region 4. FPD will now be grouped in Region 4-A with Brookstone, Pacelli, Greenville, Central-Talbotton, Dooly County, Hawkinsville, Marion County and Schley County.

It's a program that helps families pay their heating and electric bill. With dropping temperatures, more families are in need, but also dropping is the program's funding.
