Emergency crews are responding a head-on crash on Highway 16 at mile post 10 between Chaparral Road and Jackass Gulch Road, near Freezeout Hill.

Three people were hurt in a crash on Highway 16 late Tuesday morning. Gem County Dispatch says the crash occurred at about 11 a.m. Witnesses say the driver of a Nissan pickup was heading northbound trying to pass cars when a collision occurred.

A hunter missing since Monday has been found safe. Forty-year-old David Smith of Emmett was reported missing when he didn't meet up with his ride.
