Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center has expanded into Garrard County. The Garrard County Healthcare Center began seeing patients on Thursday and is holding its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the facility on KY 52 on the east side of Lancaster.

Attorney General Jack Conway and Tom Lockridge, Commonwealtha s Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit representing Garrard and Jessamine counties, today jointly announced the indictment of a Jessamine County man on two counts of using electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities.

Coon hunting: Death of a sport

When I first moved into rural central Kentucky, coon hunting was all the rage. From the Tennessee line up to the Ohio River, almost every county had at least two or three coon clubs wherein men from 14 to 90 years of age trained hounds to tree raccoons back in the woods or deep down the swales and hollows where nobody lived.
