Phillip Shane Mattar was found dead in a car behind New Jerusalem Temple of God off McCall Street in Hattiesburg around 11:00 a.m. According to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem, the cause and manner of death is under investigation pending an autopsy from the Mississippi State Crime Lab.

Two apprehended in Forrest County shooting incident
Forrest County Sheriff's Department arrested two women in connection with a Friday altercation that resulted in gunfire at a convenience store on Highway 49. Subreyonia Magee, 19, was charged with disorderly conduct and shooting into a dwelling and Bianca Pittman, 23, was charged with DUI and accessory after the fact.
