Foard County Doughboy

Not since a terrible tornado ripped through Crowell in 1942 have a Doughboy and Navy statue outside the Foard County Courthouse been the same.

Ex-coach gets 12-year sentence

Former Crowell High School football coach Brandon Roberts, 28, of Aquilla, Texas, was sentenced to 12 years in prison Friday morning for having had sex with a student while employed at the school, according to 46th Judicial District Attorney Staley Heatly.
