Theft ring cases moving forward

Tessa Anderson, 28, of Winnebago pleaded guilty to charges of felony drug possession, a misdemeanor charge of fleeing an officer on foot, and a gross misdemeanor on a child endangerment charge, stemming from a pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine and for marijuana, said LaMar Piper, a Faribault County prosecutor.

Mankato man killed south of Easton

A Mankato man was killed when his small plane crashed in a farm field three miles south of Easton on Sunday evening, May 5. Jeffrey Dean Zabel, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report from the Faribault County Sheriff's Office.
