Grand opening for the Buckhorn Info. Center

A six year project called the Buckhorn Information Center will be the site of a grand opening on April 24 at 1 p.m. The Buckhorn information center was conceived by the Travel Bureau in 2008 and was funded by Transient Room Tax collected at the hotels and campground facilities in Emery County.

Joel Hatch approached the Emery County Commissioners to ask for their support of the newly formed Western Rangelands Conservation Association Inc. This association is preparing to take the Bureau of Land Management to court for their lack of management of the wild horse and burro population.
