Parts of southern North Dakota had a half-foot of wet, slushy snow Sunday, but the band missed larger cities like Bismarck and Dickinson.

'It's a pretty narrow band,' said meteorologist Harlyn Wetzel, at National Weather Service in Bismarck.

The system was moving into southeastern North Dakota and Minnesota on Sunday night, forecasters said.
