Up, up, and away

Crenshaw County Schools declared the week of Oct. 26-30 as Red Ribbon Week. This year's drug-free motto was "I Pledge to be Drug Free!" Each year, the National Guard donates red ribbons for the students to wear throughout the week.

Drunk suspects lock dog in trunk

Two underage males were arrested for being in possession of alcohol, and then were charged with cruelty to animals after a dog was found locked in the trunk of their vehicle hassling for breath and without food and water.

Virtual Alabama coming to Crenshaw County schools

Luverne High School, along with 132 other schools across the state, will soon be participating in the "Virtual Alabama School Safety Program", a program that uses 3D technology that will allow emergency personnel to have aerial and inside views of the campuses and school buildings.
