Upton County Gas Line Fire Caused by Leak 10/7/09 Elias Hernandez CBS 7 News October 7, 2009 Upton County, Texas - A gas line fire east of Crane this morning sent a plume of smoke into the air and prompted a multiple-county response.
An Odessa man was ordered to pay more than $1.8 million in restitution and also was sentenced to 46 months in prison Wednesday on six counts of destruction of an energy facility, according to a release from Acting United States Attorney John E. Murphy.
An 8-year-old girl, hit by a truck yesterday evening, is now listed in stable condition in a Lubbock hospital.
