Authorities have arrested a farmhand in the shooting death of a Cotton County farmer.

After locating the pipeline break and draining an area pond to make repairs, crews worked all day Tuesday to get running water restored to Frederick and other area and county residents.

Steven D. Hankins, 50, of Lawton, was killed in an accident just after noon Christmas Eve when he exited his vehicle on State Highway 7, about 4/10 of a mile east of southeast 90th Street in Comanche County.
