Boonville hospital fires CEO after learning of conviction

Cooper County Memorial Hospital has fired its chief executive officer after discovering he was convicted of felony theft in Illinois.The Boonville Daily News reported that Jeffrey Durham was convicted in late September of improper use of a corporate credit card at Massac Memorial Hospital in southern Illinois.

The Federal Highway Association approved a proposal to add truck only lanes to I-70. The project as a whole is estimated to cost close to $4 billion, but MoDOT plans to seek only $200 million in federal stimulus money to build a test segment in Cooper and Saline counties.
