A woman who rammed her car into two Cobb County sheriff's deputies outside the county jail last year has been found guilty but mentally ill. Cobb County District Attorney's spokeswoman Kim Isaza says 34-year-old Candida Summerlin of Marietta admitted crashing a rental car into two deputies on May 31, 2013 and was found guilty on Tuesday.

The Atlanta Braves have officially broken ground on their new baseball stadium in Cobb County and announced the facility's name during a small ceremony Tuesday morning. According to WSB Radio, SunTrust Park will be the home of the Braves starting in 2017 .

The Dallas woman who was assaulted and badly injured on the Silver Comet Trail in late July recently moved back to her home state after a month in the hospital and has no plans to return, a relative said. Tina Waddell, 42, was attacked and beaten as she walked along the trail near Dallas July 29. She spent about a month in an area hospital after surgery on her face and recently returned to her native Arkansas where family members can care for her more closely, said sister-in-law Kristen Waddell.
