Supervisors discuss insurance for RAGBRAI

Scott Weber of Central Insurance Agency in Cherokee addressed the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and issued a report on the County's insurance requirements if RAGBRI would come through the county next year.

4 - H Awards

Cherokee County held its annual county-wide 4-H Awards Banquet at the Aurelia Community Center on Sunday November 15.County 4-H Extension Director Brenda Medick served as Master of Ceremonies at the Awards ceremony, which followed a delicious buffet meal prepared by the 4-H members.

Board gives $60,000 to 4-H betterment project

City Election votes canvassed; no changes The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors granted a funding request from the Cherokee County 4-H Council on Tuesday for the amount of $60,000. The Cherokee County 4-H Council members Val Cedar and Bill Schwaller made their request at last week's meeting but no amount was discussed at that time.

Harvesting OKd for burgeoning park geese population The Cherokee City Council Tuesday night tabled action on a proposed resolution to vacate a platted but undeveloped alley off Clark Street, heard General Fund and Bacon Aquatics Center reviews from City Administrator Don Eikmeier, and held swearing-in ceremonies for newly-elected Mayor Mark Murphy.
