County unemployment drops slightly

Alamance County's unemployment rate dropped to 6.4 percent in February, according to figures released by the N.C. Department of Commerce's Labor and Economic Analysis Division Wednesday.

Caswell Council for the Arts seeks donations for rummage sale

The Caswell Council for the Arts' giant rummage sale of new and used items will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 5 and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 6 at the Caswell County Civic Center, 536 Main Street East, next to Bartlett Yancey High School.

Man goes out for beers, returns to find home stolen

Donald Loyd, who has lived in a camper on Boone Road in Elon - though it's technically in Caswell County - for almost two years, said he had stopped by his residence around 5 or 6 p.m. to drop off some clothes.

Burlington Artists League members will exhibit works at Caswell County Civic Center

An exhibition by members/artists of the Burlington Artists League will be featured in the lobby/gallery of the Caswell County Civic Center now through May 7. A meet-the-artists reception will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 536 Main Street East, next to Bartlett Yancey High School.
