So, is the penalty for moonshining more harsh than a drug charge?

Drugs are taxed in states where marijuana is legal to sell for medicinal purposes. The legal "pot shops" actually generate quite of bit of tax money.
In California alone they say about 10% of all the marijuana users in that state are medicinal users. From those legal sales alone the tax generated is between 50 and 100 million dollars a year.

If this guy had a 50 gallon operation where was the shine???? I was in jail at the time of the bust, no moonshine was ever brought into evidence. Only the pot and his grow lights and the still itself where put into the sallyport at the jail, the pot was put in the investgations room. Where was the liquor?? If he had a still that bug and was making moonshine where did it all go ??? Hmmmm makes me wonder if Carter County's finest might have kept them some. If they did I am sure it was for medical use only cause everyone knows that moonshine helps with whatever ails you. I may be wrong, but it just seems wierd that there was no shine made it to evidence, but then there is alot of things that never make it that far around here.
