Missouri route announced for wind-power transmission project

A company that wants to build transmission lines to move wind energy from Kansas to Indiana has announced its proposed route through Missouri, but opponents say they'll continue the fight to keep the towers and lines away from their land.

Missouri prison escapee pleads guilty to crimes in Ohio

Twenty-four-year-old Brian J. Adkison pleaded guilty Wednesday in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, to receiving stolen property, failure to comply with an officer's order and petty theft.
