Boyle officials join 'snakes in a pool' probe

Though Boyle County magistrates did not discuss during its meeting the recent "Call of the Wildman" episode where The Turtleman claimed there were poisonous snakes in a Danville-Boyle County community pool, county officials are working with city officials to find out what really happened at the pool last year.

Junction City house damaged by marbles

Junction City police and Boyle County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a drive-by shooting at 2 a.m. Saturday at 261 S. Lucas St. When officers arrived, according to Junction City Police Chief Merl Baldwin, they found the James Clark residence had sustained major damage to the siding and windows.

Danville City Commission finalizes eminent domain purchase

Danville City Commission unanimously voted Monday to purchase 11 acres of farmland from a local resident at a price tag of $225,000. The decision came after a 45-minute executive session, a closed meeting to which Commissioner James "J.H." Atkins had voted in opposition.
