The Cochran Better Hometown Farmer's Market is every Saturday until October from 8 a.m. to noon in Cochran.

Join in the fun of the 100 Anniversary Celebration in Cochran by entering the Pie Baking Contest! Years ago festivals and street fairs always had a pie baking contest and we are duplicating the festivities from 1912 with the contest sponsored by the Woman's Club of Cochran with proceeds going to the Relay for Life.

Josh Webb and Shane Herman, members of the US Army Marksmanship Unit, Shotgun Team, visited with Junior and Senior members of the Bleckley County 4H S.A.F.E. shotgun team Sunday afternoon.

There was a camp out Friday night at Nesmith Stadium. Once again, MGC's soccer field was the location for the Bleckley County Relay For Life.

"Bleckley County Glorious Reality Through A Century 1912-2012" kickoff celebration will be on May 12 starting at 11 a.m. on the courthouse square.
