Break-in call leads to arrest, citations

An Elizabeth man was arrested for DWI and five Pelican Rapids residents will be cited for underage drinking after deputies responded to a report of a Saturday night break-in at Camp Cherith in rural Frazee, not far from the Otter Tail/Becker county line.

Four Injured After Unmanned Minn. Engine Accelerates

A mock crash staged near a high school as part of a pre-prom demonstration turned real after a unmanned Detroit Lakes fire engine accelerated down a street and into a car, injuring an EMS worker, a state trooper and two students Friday morning.

Becker man arrested after child porn

Becker, county and federal law enforcement agents have arrested a 29-year-old man they say possessed and distributed child pornography, according to Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott.
