GPS helps cops crack copper caper in Bay, Missaukee counties

Global positioning helped police track down a stolen spool of copper wire. Monday, Consumers Energy, which owns the wire, notified Bay County emergency dispatchers that a GPS device attached to the spool indicated the wire on the move from a facility in Missaukee County.

FBI, ATF arrest 15 Marshall Organization gang members in raids in Bay City, Detroit, St. Louis

Federal investigators say they've rousted a Bay County drug ring. A federal grand jury indicted 15 members of the Marshall Organization that trafficked crack and powder cocaine throughout the eastern Lower Peninsula, U.S. Attorney Terrence Berg said.
