Operation Rolling Thunder Decends On Roads
Year-in and year-out, Paulding and Bartow counties are in the state's top-ten counties for traffic fatalities.

On 6-3-08 I was stopped in Paulding County. The GSP was conducting the detention and search. The GSP official appeared angry and rude.
I did nothing wrong and yet I was detained while the police state did what they wanted. I kept my mouth shut and was released without incident. God bless Amerika!!! The State Supreme Court, The U.S. Supreme Court and the Police State can take a flying leap.... I want my liberty, freedom and civil rights back. I don't want the government in my life at all. I don't want the government's protection or security....I'll take my chances looking out for myself. |

If you were anything like this post on the side of the road, that'll probably explain the trooper's demeanor.

William you seem to have missed the entire reason behind Operation. It is not to deprive you of the right to look out for yourself. The purpose is to improve everyone's chances by ensuring that everyone operating a motor vehicle on Georgia's roads obeys the law. The fact that there were over 50 traffic fatalities in Paulding and Bartow counties last year indicates that someone needs to "look out" for the motoring public. Last year's efforts in Savanah resulted in a 58% decrease in traffic fatalities. Now you may not have lost a family member or close freind to traffic fatalities but every year over 40,000 people die because of traffic crashes. To me that seems like 40,000 good reasons to support law enforcement activities that are aimed at reducing this sensless loss of life. Let the Thunder Roll.

If there are enough people out there like Willy B, I'm going to get back into policing. Taking your money sounds like job satisfaction.
