Baltimore County sheriff's deputies shot an armed man while serving a civil warrant in Lansdowne this afternoon, county police said.
The unidentified man came to the door of the house carrying a gun, police spokesman Bill Toohey said. He said he did not know the condition of the man, who was taken to a hospital.
The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Gaylawn Drive. Toohey said four sheriff's deputies went to the house to serve the warrant.
He said no deputy was injured and that no other details were immediately available. He said the county police department was handling the investigation. Read more
