Judge dismisses manslaughter indictment in Baldwin County case
A judge has dismissed an indictment against a man who was charged with reckless manslaughter in connection with a 2010 fatal wreck near Rosinton. Baldwin County Circuit Judge Langford Floyd wrote in a court order Tuesday that he dismissed the indictment against Kevin Davis , 27, of Fairhope, because it did not "adequately apprise the defendant of the nature of the charge."

A Mobile County judge has ruled that Rose Burch Stabler, left, failed to respond to a counter-suit filed by attorney Jeff Deen. As a result, the judge ruled that Deen is entitled to monetary damages.
Baldwin County loses grant money for scenic byway project
An effort to get portions of state highways 225 and 59 in Baldwin County designated as an Alabama Scenic Byway has hit a funding snag. The federal grant money that was going to be used for the planning phase of the Tensas Parkway Scenic Byway project has been rescinded.

Baldwin School Board considers new high school
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft presented plans for a Gulf Shores Orange Beach High School that would be located off of the Foley Beach Express. The high school would be in cooperation with Alabama colleges to provide college credit for some classes.
Orange Beach gears up to address traffic woes
Traffic has long been an issue along Canal Road in Orange Beach, especially during the peak season and the city is working to figure out a solution. A town hall meeting is set for Tuesday evening at The Wharf Events Center and will feature presentations from both Mayor Tony Kennon and the director of the Alabama Department of Transportation, John Cooper.

Baldwin County reckless manslaughter trial set to start Monday
The trial of a Fairhope man who is charged with reckless manslaughter in a 2010 fatal wreck near Rosinton is set to start Monday in Baldwin County Circuit Court. Kevin Davis , 27, of the 11700 block of Champion Road, is charged in the March 23, 2010, death of Randall McKenzie, 23, of Foley.
Loxley woman gets OK to host weddings, receptions behind home
A Loxley woman was given the OK on Thursday to have a venue behind her home for the purpose of hosting weddings and receptions. The Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-3, approving of Robin Gregorius request for a conditional use permit.

Charge dropped in fatal Orange Beach accident
A Spanish Fort man is no longer facing a criminally negligent homicide in connection with a March 29 fatal accident in Orange Beach. The case against Danny Pylant, 57 , was presented to a Baldwin County grand jury in August.
Celebration of life service held for Foley High School alum
A celebration of life service was held Thursday morning for Rachel Pigott. The 19-year-old died in a car crash Monday, September 1. Loxley police tell FOX10 News Pigott was heading north on Highway 59 when the accident occurred.

MOBILE, Alabama - A Bay Minette man seeking a new look at his conviction on drug charges has been denied that chance, the state Supreme Court has ruled. Spencer Parker was convicted in 2012 of possession of cocaine and is serving a 10-year sentence, stemming from his April 2010 arrest.

Possible fee increases for businesses in Spanish Fort
The Spanish Fort City Council is considering raising annual license fees for businesses from $60 per year to $100 per year plus a $12 issuing fee.
