AgriLife Extension County Agents Earn Awards
Texas AgriLife Extension Service agricultural and natural resources agents from across the state were recognized with awards at the annual Texas Association of County Agricultural Agents recently in Amarillo.
While many South Plains counties saw cotton hailed out, the crop is doing pretty well in the Rolling Plains, said a Texas AgriLife Extension Service entomologist.
Area farmers are dealing with the effects of last week's storms. At least 25,000 acres of crops have been lost in Parmer and Bailey counties.
