Sheriff Bancroft announces an early retirement in Asotin County

Asotin County Sheriff Ken Bancroft has announced he wants to retire early. He sent a letter to commissioner Jim Fuller announcing his retirement which will be effective August first.

Marijuana retailer is still waiting approval from city leaders

Today is the first day for marijuana sales in Washington State, but what about in Clarkston or Asotin County? The state's Liquor Control Board issued the first two dozen retail marijuana licenses early Monday morning, and stores opened around the state at eight this morning.

Asotin man arrested, charged with six counts of child rape

A 66-year-old man was taken into custody at the Asotin County Sheriff's Office Monday afternoon and charged with six counts of 1st-degree Rape of a Child for allegedly inappropriately touching a six-year-old girl.

Asotin County Sheriff Ken Bancroft announces his retirement

Asotin County Sheriff Ken Bancroft announces he's retiring. He's been with the sheriff's office for eight years, but he's been in uniform since he was 18. Bancroft said the office has grown a lot since he got there, but of course, there's always room for improvement.
