Anoka: Pedestrian killed by freight train was girl, 16
The person who was fatally struck by a freight train in Anoka on Sunday evening has been identified as a teenage girl. Sixteen-year-old Carolyn Gallagher of Anoka was on foot when she was hit by an oncoming locomotive on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks at Minnesota 47, according to the Anoka County medical examiner's office.

Rosalie Hall, 75, said she used to stroll each evening after dinner through the wide hallways and leafy courtyards of Heights Manor, a three-story public apartment building in Columbia Heights that houses mostly senior citizens.
