Flash flooding expected in Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin
The National Weather Service in Duluth is warning that forecasted heavy rains could cause flash flooding in parts of Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin, and flooding in some Minnesota rivers.
Rain started Wednesday in the Brainerd lakes area and it looks like residents and tourists are in for even more rain in the days to come.
Two injured in motorcycle crash
Two Cromwell residents were injured Sunday night in a motorcycle crash on Aitkin County Road 16, about a half mile north of Lawler, reported the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office.
Aitkin County HHS director pleaded guilty to DWI charge
Thomas Burke, 50, Aitkin County Health and Human Services director, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor fourth degree driving while intoxicated charge.
