Clinton Picks Up Connecticut Superdelegate
Hillary Rodham Clinton is picking up a superdelegate in Connecticut today.
John Olsen, president of the Connecticut AFL-CIO,, is expected to announce his support for Clinton at a Capitol press conference scheduled for 2 p.m.
Barack Obama won the Connecticut primary with 51 percent of the vote and already has locked up most of the state's super-delegates.Sen. Christopher Dodd and U.S. Reps. John Larson, Rosa DeLauro and Chris Murphy are for Obama, as are national committee members Anthony Avallone, Stephen Fontana and Martin Dunleavy and state Senate President Pro Tem Donald E. Williams Jr.
Ellen Camhi, a national committee member from Stamford, was the only Connecticut super-delegate committed to Clinton. U.S. Rep. Joseph Courtney and Nancy DiNardo, the state chairwoman, remain uncommitted.
