Paublita Gutierrez
SOCORRO, New Mexico (STPNS) -- Paublita Padilla Gutierrez, 85, a lifelong resident of Aragon, N.M., entered into eternal rest Monday, May 5, 2008, in Aragon.
A prayer vigil was at 6 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, led by Juan Aragon. A funeral mass was Saturday, May 17, at Santo Nino Church. The rite of committal and internment was at the Aragon Cemetery.
Paublita was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Aragon, to Lorenzo and Marcelina (Romero) Padilla. She was employed by the Senior Program and Goodwill Industries of New Mexico in Reserve, N.M.
She loved to sing and visit the homebound. She was a communicant of Santo Nino Catholic Church.
Paublita is survived by three daughters: Grace de Luna and husband, Joaquin, of Silver City, N.M.; Flora Najar and husband, Herman, of Aragon; Irene Rael and husband, Eddie, of Reserve; sons: Raymundo Gutierrez and wife, Kathy, of Silver City; Daniel Gutierrez and wife, Alisandra, of Las Cruces, N.M.; Ernesto Gutierrez and wife, Becky, of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; and Samuel Gutierrez of Aragon; daughters-in-law: Luciana Gutierrez of Horse Springs, N.M. and Ramona Gutierrez of Safford, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters; and one brother; two sons, Ricardo and Juan Gutierrez; two grandsons, A. Sean Gutierrez and Edward Rael; and two great grandsons, Samuel Gutierrez and Mark Jaramillo.
Honorary pallbearers were Ricardo Gutierrez Jr., Lorenzo Gutierrez, Antonio Gutierrez, Steve Najar and Andres Rael.
