Violet O. Mead

SOCORRO, New Mexico (STPNS) -- Violet O. Mead, 74, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, at her home in Socorro, N.M.  She was born July 11, 1933, in Sparta, Mich., to Andrew F. and Gladys V. (Holden) Brisbin.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Mead; and her parents. She is survived by her son, Alan L. Mead of Albuquerque, N.M; daughters: Kathy A. Chavez of Albuquerque; and Sandra K. Mead of Eager, Ariz.; sisters: Betty Dexter of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; Dolly Fowler of Mid City, Mich.; and June Cade of Alamogordo, N.M.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  

Services will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, Socorro.
