Aurelia L. Apodaca
SOCORRO, New Mexico (STPNS) -- Aurelia L. Apodaca, 80, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008, in Albuquerque, N.M. She was born July 7, 1927 in Santa Rita, N.M. to Jesus and Espiridiona (Aragon) Lopez. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel and Alberto Lopez; and sister, Josephine Peralta.
She is survived by her children: Alvin Apodaca and wife, Edena of Los Lunas, N.M.; Gary Apodaca and wife, Clara of Socorro, N.M.; Anthony Apodaca of Albuquerque; Eva Chavez and husband, Rudy of Socorro; Olga Needy and husband, Jim of Socorro; Petra Torres and husband, Andy of Albuquerque; Rose Marie Apodaca and husband, Johnny of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Margaret Trujillo of Socorro; grandchildren: Michelle Mintz and husband, Ralph; Louis Chavez; Dawn Minnick; Alysia Torres and Takres; Crystal DaSilva and husband, Lee; Verna Apodaca; Alvin Apodaca Jr.; Rebecca Apodaca; Stephanie Apodaca; Stephanie Sarate and husband, Tommy; Michelle Gonzales; Tim Gonzales and wife, Paula; Melanie Gutierrez and husband, Leroy; Heather Richardson and husband, Chris; James Foster Jr. and wife, Denise; Dominic Loe; Amanda Gonzales and husband, Juan; Cassandra Trujillo and Angel; and Andrew Trujillo; great grandchildren: Devon & Jordyn; April; John; Justin; Joshua; Kathryn; Katlin; Kyle; Ceara; Gavin; Garrick; Adrianna; Austin; Aspen; Alyssa; Juan Carlos; and Angel; a great great granddaughter, Danette Minnick; and two beloved companions, Blackie and Spot.
A Rosary was at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, at San Miguel with Father Andy Pavlak as celebrant.
Burial will be in San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rudy Chavez, Jim Needy, Andy Torres, Tim Gonzales, Louis Chavez and Alvin Apodaca Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Abel Lopez, James Steven Jr., Andrew Trujillo and Dominic Loe. Arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, Socorro.
