SOCORRO, New Mexico (STPNS) --
March 22
* An officer took a report at 7:30 a.m. of vandalism in the 400 block of Oak Street. Subjects threw eggs and chocolate syrup which damaged the front gate and residence.
* Two reports came in about vehicles being egged at the Magdalena High School parking lot. Investigation suggested this case is related to the above case.
March 26
An officer took a report at 11 a.m. of intimidation of a witness which occurred on Forest Road 101 in Magdalena. The case was sent to the Socorro County Magistrate Court, where the defendant was remanded to custody.
March 30
An officer arrested a male subject at 7:41 p.m. on Ash Street where he walked into a residence not his own. He was so drunk that he did not know where he was. He was charged in Magdalena Municipal Court.
April 2
An officer arrested a male subject at 7 p.m. in the Magdalena Municipal Court room on an order by the judge for contempt of court for showing up in court drunk.
April 6
* Officers responded to a burglary in the 700 block of Kelly Road. During the investigation officers located three suspects and all the stolen items . Two male subjects were charged with five felonies and were taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.
* An officer took a report at 3:30 p.m. of a burglary at the old mill south of Magdalena. Several tools were stolen out of a locked trailer on the property. The case is under investigation and a reward has been posted by the owner for information leading to the arrest of the dirty rotten scoundrels who robbed him stuff.
April 7
* An officer responded at 11:20 a.m. to a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 169 at mile marker 3. Three persons were treated and transported by Magdalena Ambulance. One female died from her injuries at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque. Charges are pending on the 17-year-old driver.
* An officer took a report at 3:30 p.m. of an accident without injuries at the post office where one vehicle backing up struck a parked vehicle.
April 9
A subject came into the Marshal's office at 10 a.m. reporting that a male subject threatened to kill a female. The incident occurred in November or December 2007. Witnesses wanted to come forward now. The incident was turned over to trial attorneys involving the parties who are in an on-going civil dispute.
April 10
Officers responded at 11:45 p.m. to a criminal damage complaint at a residence in the 600 block of Main Street. Suspects threw rocks through windows in the residence where the owners were sleeping. The case is under investigation and charges are pending.
April 11
Officers stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign on Oak Street at 10:19 p.m. The driver was arrested for drunk drivign for the third time and charged with failure to stop. A passenger was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.
April 12
An officer stopped a vehicle on Second Street at 8:18 p.m. where the driver was unable to maintain his equilibrium. He was arrested for drunk driving and registered twice the legal limit of blood-alcohol content. He had in his possession a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with his second aggravated drunk driving and possession of marijuana.
April 14
An officer responded at 8 a.m. to a report of criminal damage to property on the 500 block of Oak Street. Footprints were found at the scene where rocks were thrown through two storm doors facing Oak St. The case happened Thursday, April 10, which is related to the first incident on the 600 block of Main Street. Charges are pending.
