Vote 'Yes' on Hospital Tax Renewal...
BERNICE, Louisiana (STPNS) -- Union Parish is buzzing with YELLOW BULLDOZIERS - ORANGE BARRELS - CONSTRUCTION SIGNS - SURVEY TEAMS - NEW BUSINESSES- NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION - LOW UNEMPLOYMENT
As 2008 is moving forward, join me in maintaining our quality of health care. March 8th, 2008 is OUR day to chose the future of many, many of our residents of the parish. Our life without Union General Hospital would be drastically different without its presence.
Statistics show the 1st revealing question an Industry asks when choosing a location is: What type of Healthcare can you provide to our employees? We know for a fact, this is what our prize employer, Pilgrim's Pride asked when considering Union Parish as its home. A 55 million dollar payroll in our parish was delivered to us because we could answer this 55 million dollar question, with YES! Our life without Union General Hospital would be drastically different without its presence.
Our elderly residents who enjoy the retirement years at their personal lifelong residences, or in care of nursing home facilities within the parish, depend on us. The torch has been passed to the younger residents to maintain for them a quality of life. I listen to our loved ones sharing their relationship with one our many good doctors. Some can drive in and around our small town and remain an independence of good medical care. Many of our residents are transported from nursing homes. Union General Hospital is continually recruiting and maintaining Medical Doctors to support the changing needs of an aging population. THEIR life without Union General would be drastically different without its presence.
It is always bittersweet to have a need for medical attention. But isn't it wonderful to look into the eyes of your fellow citizens employed at Union General and know you are in the care of a friend? We must help the administration of Union General maintain a qualified work force. The Doctors and the Nurses and supporting Medical staff depend on us to help them. The druggists depend on it. A 2 million dollar payroll for the parish, this medical facility provides to the local economy. Our life without Union General would be drastically different without its presence.
Vote March the 8th, 2008 for this renewal - Who knows? Our life could depend on it!
