Neurologists Receive New Patient Education Resources from Vivacare for Epilepsy Awareness Month

- Vivacare provides neurology practices with newly enhanced resources to help them educate their patients about epilepsy in honor of Epilepsy Awareness Month.



Leading neurologists, such as Selim Benbadis, M.D., FAAN, Randall Schapiro, M.D., FAAN, and Andrew Wilner, M.D., FAAN are enrolled for Vivacare's 'From Your Doctor' service that allows them to easily manage their own Web-based, patient education resource. Enrolled physicians customize and personalize the content that is presented to their patients to reflect their subspecialty and personal approach to care. Patients can locate enrolled neurologists in their community through Vivacare's Find a Neurologist Directory.

In recognition of November as Epilepsy Awareness Month, Vivacare has expanded the epilepsy education resources it makes available to neurology practices. Resources include a seizure diary, handouts on anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs), and reviews of different types of epilepsy, such temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), and refractory epilepsy. Recent additions include handouts on 'Epilepsy Research' and 'Epilepsy and Pregnancy'.
