- Legends Golf & Resort of Myrtle Beach, S.C. is offering a special winter package that lets golfers stay at the Scottish-style resort for three nights and play three rounds of golf for as low as $225 per golfer. The package, which is available from November 16, 2009 through February 24, 2010, includes accommodations, golf with cart, free range balls and a ticket for a drink each day. In addition, those on the package have the option of playing a fourth round for free and pre-booking their replays. Rates are based on four golfers staying in a two-bedroom villa.

The stay and play special package is not available online. It can only be booked by calling Legends at 800-990-8991 or 843-236-9318, and requesting 'Winter Special Code WS.'

'This package offers an extraordinary golf experience at an extremely affordable price,' said Larry Woodberry, Legends' Director of Operations. 'It's an especially good deal for groups of golfers looking for a winter getaway to a warm destination. The resort feels different than other South Carolina golf destination, and it really delivers on Scottish charm and atmosphere. And, with Myrtle Beach an easy drive from most major metro areas, as well as the many affordable air fares into town, this is a great choice for Northeastern and Midwestern golfers who are already feeling winter's chill.'

Located just off Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach, Legends Golf & Resort has three championship courses within its complex. The package enables golfers to play any of the three courses on-site at the resort or the two other Legends courses, Heritage Club and Oyster Bay Golf Links.

All five Legends golf courses are recognized as some of the best in the state and the nation in The 2010 Golf World Readers Choice Awards which were announced in late September 2009.

A full service pro shop, as well as a full-service restaurant/sports bar is inside the 40,000 square foot Scottish-style clubhouse that serves the three on-site Legends courses, Heathland, Moorland and Parkland. A bountiful buffet breakfast, including a waffle and omelet bar, is available in the clubhouse each morning.

On-site practice facilities include a 30-acre, lighted driving range that is one of the Top 100 Practice Facilities in the country, according to the Golf Range Association of America.

Villa buildings at Legends are designed to reflect the Scottish theme that runs throughout the resort. Grouped into a small village atmosphere, the villas surround the Ailsa Pub which Golf Digest named one of the '50 Best 19th Holes' in America.
