Greenberg Traurig Expands its Houston Office With the Addition of Anthony 'Tony' Guerino

Houston, Texas (Vocus) October 23, 2009 -- Prominent energy attorney and engineer Anthony M. 'Tony' Guerino II, has joined international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP in its Houston office as a shareholder in the Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Guerino was a partner with Gardere Wynne Sewell.



Guerino has more than 15 years of experience trying cases before state and federal courts, arbitration panels and administrative agencies. His practice focuses primarily on cases involving energy and upstream oil and gas matters, including well and casing failures, contractual disputes, royalty issues, energy transactions and litigation, and environmental litigation.

In addition to his legal experience, Guerino is a petroleum and natural gas engineer and worked for a major international exploration and production company for 10 years as a Petroleum Engineer prior to and during law school. He has hands-on experience working in the oilfield as a roustabout and has worked as a reservoir engineer, production engineer, operations engineer and drilling engineer before being promoted to a position with senior management responsible for worldwide offshore operations.

Guerino holds a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and a B.S., with honors, in Petroleum Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
