Carbon monoxide injures 3 at power plant

Three workers at an eastern Jackson County power plant were taken to the hospital today after becoming sick from carbon-monoxide exposure.

The Fort Osage fire department was called to an Aquila power plant in Sibley just before noon. The workers had been working on a pipe in a lower pit area when they fell ill.

Updated information on their condition was not available.
