Lake Pointe Academy
Parents are invited to a presentation on the University Model School 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the campus of Lake Pointe Academy, 3168 Hands Mill Highway (S.C. 274).Information on the 3-year-old, Christ-centered and classically influenced school is available at www.lakepointeacademy.com or by phone at 803-631-5253. Lake Pointe provides professional classroom instruction two to three days per week, supporting parent-supervised at-home assignments on the other days. Lake Pointe is open to full-time and home-schooled students seeking enrichment classes.

St. Anne Catholic School

Scholarship program
For the sixth year, the Michael A. DeMayo Scholarship program will offer high school seniors an opportunity to win a $2,500 scholarship toward their college education.
Students who have applied for full-time enrollment at a four-year university or college are eligible. Application packets can be downloaded at www.DeMayoLaw.com, under the Community Service link. Applications also are available from schools' guidance counselor offices.
They must be returned to the firm by March 3. Winners will be chosen by April 11.
Scholarships will be awarded to 10 graduating high school seniors who reside and attend schools in York, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Union (N.C.) or Stanly counties.
