Bomb Squad: Bank Robbers Left Suspicious Package
An LAPD police bomb squad evacuated a bank to investigated a suspicious package left during an attempted robbery.
Los Angeles police Officer Kate Lopez said the alleged bank robbery on Pico Boulevard took place at 9:50 a.m. Friday. A suspect reportedly left a "suspicious" package at the counter of a bank teller window before leaving.
No one has been taken into custody. Lopez did not provide further details.
Streets in the area had been blocked off and traffic was diverted, but the streets were reopened to traffic shortly after 11:30 a.m.
