US: United Retail seeks permission to sell to Versa Capital Management

United Retail Group Voluntarily Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

A brand of women's fashion apparel and a subsidiary of Redcats USA, today announced that it has voluntarily initiated Chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and that it is pursuing a sale process under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Kid Brands CEO resigns, board chair takes helm

Infant and juvenile products maker Kid Brands Inc. on Monday said President and Chief Executive Officer Bruce G. Crain has resigned, effective immediately, and that Chairman of the Board Raphael Benaroya will be taking over his duties while the board of directors searches for a successor for the East Rutherford -based business.
