United pushes back debut of U.S.-Moscow flights

United Airlines is moving to postpone the debut of its flights between the United States and Moscow until next year because of the unprecedented rise in fuel prices.

United's full of...it.
If there were sufficient demand - aviation fuel costs notwithstanding, they'd launch the new route. If the demand were there they could pass along the fuel costs to the passengers, but, the demand ISN'T there. That's why they're sandbagging the new route. Of course, the fact that American Airlines started a Chicago/ORD to Moscow flight a little while ago couldn't have anything to do with United's decison now either - could it? Do you think?
These airlines take us for fools and until we build a national grid of High Speed Rail and re-regulate the airlines, they'll continue to get away with it!
