Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have set a date of December 19th for the New York and Los Angeles release of Michael Haneke's Amour , which was just awarded the acclaimed Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

Earlier in the week, it was announced that Sony Pictures Classics had bought the North American rights to the film.

Sony Pictures Classics announced today that the studio has acquired all North American rights to Academy Award-winning director Susanne Bier's latest film, Love Is All You Need from Scandinavian sales company, TrustNordisk.
