Last week, Maryland's attorney general, Douglas F. Gansler, said that he would consider litigation against Omega Protein, the Reedville menhaden processor, if the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission doesn't cut Omega's harvest enough to satisfy him.

Omega Protein, a nutritional ingredient companty, harvests and processes menhaden, a small, bony and oily fish that contains a high level of omega-3 fatty acids.
